Partnerships

South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) seeks partnerships with organizations and businesses.  The major partners with SLCC are Acadian Ambulance, Lafayette Parish School System, University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and the Acadiana Technical College. The National Emergency Medical Sciences Academy better known as NEMSA is a result of Acadian Ambulance and SLCC meeting the needs of industry.  The Early College Academy—a middle college on SLCC’s Lafayette campus is one of several initiatives between the Lafayette Parish School System and SLCC. The collaborative efforts between the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and SLCC include numerous 2+2 agreements, joint planning of Black History Month activities and the annual Women’s Conference.  Through the sharing of facilities and faculty and staff expertise both the Acadiana Technical College and SLCC have improved facilities and program and course offerings to the citizens of Lafayette and New Iberia.
