CINAHL (1982 - Current)
Provides access to nursing and allied health literature and information, including such disciplines as physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, consumer health, alternative therapies, and health sciences librarianship. Updated monthly. 

Dissertation Abstracts (ProQuest Dissertations & Theses) (1861 - Current)
Includes citations for dissertations dating from the first U.S. dissertation issued in 1861. Contains abstracts for dissertations from 1980 to the present and for master's theses from 1988 forward. The work of authors from over 1,000 North American graduate schools and European universities are also included. Titles published since 1997 are available in PDF digital format and have 24 page previews available.

ERIC (1966 - Current)
Sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education, it consists of over 900,000 citations from journals, reports, and other sources spanning the entire field of education and related areas.http://www.eric.ed.gov.

Health Source Nursing/Academic Edition
Provides nearly 590 scholarly full text journals focusing on many medical disciplines. Also featured are abstracts and indexing for over 627 journals. This database is updated on a daily basis. 

JSTOR
An electronic archive of complete journal backruns, current to within 2 to 5 years. The collections include: Arts & Sciences I, Arts & Sciences II, Business Collection, Ecology & Botany, General Science, and Language and Literature. 

LEXIS-NEXIS Academic
Contains the full-text of newspapers for the past 20 years, federal and state case law and legislative materials, law reviews, company news and financial information, medical and health information, general information sources and much more. Updates and coverage vary by section.  

PsycArticles
Covers the literature of psychology and related disciplines from an extensive collection of journals, books, book chapters, and dissertations. Updated weekly.

WorldCat
Contains records to approximately 36 million items in most (if not all) subject areas. Materials may include books, computer data files and programs, films, journal and magazine titles, newspapers, manuscripts, musical scores, and more. Not included are individual articles, stories, or book chapters. Updated daily.  

Council for Exceptional Children
This site is devoted to improving education for those with exceptionalities, students with disabilities and the gifted. A professional standard and accreditation section, various CEC publications and information on upcoming professional development events are all featured.

Early Childhood.com
This site has many resources for teachers in early elementary education. There are activities and tips to keep the curriculum fresh and exciting for kids featured on the site. Included on the site is a Reading Center that contains articles covering many topics. 

Education World
This site is considered the "Educator's Best Friend." The site is a searchable database that supports K-12 school administrators and teachers by providing information on lesson plans, curriculums, books in education, school administration, special themes, and educational Web site reviews.

Education World-Science
This site is divided into sections based on grade levels and covers a wide range of topics. There are also teacher lesson plans in various areas in science such as agriculture, life science and chemistry. 

Educator's Reference Desk
This searchable site provides access to lesson plans, links to online education information, and question archive responses. ... [It also] provides a search interface to the ERIC [Educational Resources Information Center] Database.

Federal Resources for Educational Excellence
Contains links to online resources in subject areas such as mathematics, science, language arts and many more. New resources added to site monthly. 

Learn and Serve America! This site offers information about service learning and has resources for educators and others involved in developing and managing service-learning projects.

Learning Disabilities Online
This site contains various resources parents and teachers can use in dealing with children with learning disabilities. There are teaching strategies for teachers and an in Depth section with glossaries and links to various articles. There is also a section for kids with activities and tips they can use to learn to live with their disabilities. 

Louisiana Department of Education
Provides educators in Louisiana with information regarding teacher salary, graduation requirements, testing schedules and much more. Also featured on the site is information for students, parents and the community. 

National Council of Teachers of Mathematics
Features the national standards for mathematics education in the United States.  

National Education Association
Contains resources in numerous areas for teachers and parents. The site also discusses the latest legislative actions concerning education. 

U.S. Dept. of Education
Site features a variety of information including research guides, publications and local programs and services. 

U.S. Dept. of Education-Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC)
A database sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education which provides access to education information from a variety of sources.

U.S. Dept. of Health and Human Services-Head Start Bureau
This site discusses the Head Start Program in the United States. There is information about the history of the program, different programs and services available, and statistics on the program. 

Yahoo! Education
A directory of sites related to education. Topics include bilingual education, distance learning, financial aid, history, literacy, statistics, and teaching. Searchable and browsable.
