Administrative Assistant

Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s Degree Preferred plus two years of work experience, preferably with Senior Management. The candidate must have an advanced knowledge of Word, Excel
and great organizational skills. Responsibilities relate to providing secretarial support for the Chancellor’s office and multi-tasking is required.

Full-Time Faculty Positions

SLCC is a rapidly growing multi campus institution serving south central Louisiana. Available full-time faculty positions for Fall 2010:

·      Mathematics – (courses may include: College Algebra, Statistics, Survey of Calculus)

·      Communications ( must have a concentration of 18 graduate hours in theater and knowledge of digital media)

·      Elementary Education

·      General Business ( must have 18 graduate hours in Management)

·      Music ( must be able to teach digital classes)

·      Language – (Must be able to teach French and Spanish. This requires a Master’s degree in one language and at least 18 graduate hours in the other.)

·      Biology ( must also have a 18 graduate hours in Chemistry)

·      Physics/ Chemistry – (Requires a Master’s degree in physics discipline and at least 18 graduate hours in the Chemistry discipline.)


RESPONSIBILITIES:
Course teaching load is 15 credit hours per semester. In addition to teaching duties, faculty has student advising, college service, and office hour responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Faculty positions require a minimum of a Master's degree  in the teaching discipline or a Master’s degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
