South Louisiana Community College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACSCOC) to award the associate degree.

Additionally, South Louisiana Community College holds two professional accreditations. The Industrial Technology program is accredited by the Association of Technology, Management, and Applied Engineering (ATMAE). The Emergency Medical Technology program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
