3.2.13 Institution-Related Foundations

Any institution-related foundation not controlled by the institution has a contractual or other formal agreement that (1) accurately describes the relationship between the institution and the foundation, and (2) describes any liability associated with that relationship.  In all cases, the institution ensures that the relationship is consistent with its mission.

Narrative:

South Louisiana Community College (SLCC) does not have any institution-related foundations not controlled by the institution for the purpose of fund-raising and garnering financial support.  However, during the construction of the College, Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors (LCTCS) utilized a corporate foundation to oversee funding and construction.  The foundation remains in effect to be used solely for the purpose of addressing the building construction debt.
